It was a letdown for me and Eggman! Usually pirate games are a lot better than this.

But we enjoyed making Sonic die in the most cheapest ways possible in a game that deserves a dying Sonic synth.

Actually, Eggie. Pirate games tend to be overwhelmingly shitty. You may be thinking of ROM-hacked games, of which there are a wealth of good'uns. The difference is money; ROM-hackers do it for the art of it.
