Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Has the best level design, in my opinion, and I've spent way too much of my life playing that game over and over. Unleashed is a close second, at least for the day levels, the rush and sense of speed you get is perfect.

Sonic Adventure. Best Eggman quotes, and this is when Eggman really shined. Adventure 2 is all what matters though, as you can play as EGGMAN! Do you, as a mobster, are happy that you just got a remake of Sonic Adventure 2, the game that had Eggman in your very hands?
